Exhaling on the Uplift of the Up-Line – Suspension Work #Shibari

Recently, after Pedro’s course, I’ve begun the practice of exhaling using a deep sound from my lower lungs when executing the use of my ropes up-line on a dead lift. The deep sound and whoosh of air from my lungs feels like an old Shotokan karate Kia!

As I pull down I use my body now as well and my arms as the lever. Of course my arms are working and so is my back and my weight. Together the deadlift feels better, smoother, and less of chore than a natural action in the rope progression. Down and up…whoosh…

The ‘ushhhaa’ like sound on exhale on a deep pull goes with the Scene as well. It kind of feels sexy!!! It’s somewhat masculine, but I don’t see why a female rigger can’t take in her own way. That’s sexy.

So now as pull down or up; however, you see it, literally, the ‘whoosh’ sound goes with my upline action and enhances my Scene….

I’m liking it.
